Metro Hobbies prides itself on being a traditional small business in the sense that we are dedicated to our customers wants and needs through good, old-fashioned personal service. We believe in honesty and hard work. We have real people that answer the phone when possible. Your e-mail questions and comments are welcomed and always handled promptly. There are time during the year that we will be away at a trade show or other business and some orders may be delayed during that time until we return. Rest assured that we can still take orders and conduct business. We will try to always inform you if there will be a delay in your order. Your understanding and patience is appreciated. Announcements & Pricing Specials
Our announcements of special pricing and new items are meant to be informative and convenient for our customers. While we strive for complete accuracy in our pricing, there can be typographical errors or misinformation from manufacturers or suppliers for which we cannot be responsible. For some of our special offers and pricing we cannot accept layaway orders. Please contact us for details. If you would like to place regularly priced items on layaway please let us know. Prices are subject to change without notice. We follow MAP, Minimum Advertised Pricing, policies set by manufacturers see MAP page for details.
Payment & Shipping
Packaging, shipping & handling, and insurance are an additional charge. All orders sent to Nebraska addresses will be charged the appropriate sales tax. Club organizations and well established regular customers may be eligible to apply for an open account with net 30 terms. Contact us for details.
United States orders are payable by check or money order (both with ID information) or PayPal. Payments by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit cards are coming soon. Checks and money orders take 10 days to clear before shipping. Returned checks will be subject to $20 service charge. Customers with a history of returned checks will not be able to pay by check.
Attention international customers:
Payment is by PayPal in US dollars only. No checks or money orders for foreign orders. Contact us by telephone or e-mail for exact shipping costs. DO NOT include any credit card information in e-mail.
Merchandise will be shipped UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail insured. All shipping and insurance are billed at cost plus an additional handling fee. You will be notified if any of your items are on back-order. We reserve the right to cancel backorders over 90 days. Back-order items are normally shipped out when ALL are in stock. Individual shipping of items as the come in stock will be at your request and expense and will be assessed a fee per package of $7.95 or actual shipping cost which ever is greater.
Returns & Refunds
Credit or exchange is given on merchandise returned within 30 days in original unused condition with all packaging and documentation. Returned merchandise will be subject to a 15% restocking fee, unless previously waived. Shipping costs are nonrefundable unless the error was ours. If merchandise was damaged in shipping save all packaging and contact shipper for claim. Also let us know. If you are returning merchandise please call us within 14 days of receipt of order for prompt service.
Metro Hobbies does not offer refunds on returns.
Service, layaway and reserve orders
Payments for service orders are due upon receipt of invoice prior to return shipping. All moneys paid on defaulted layaway or refused reservation orders will be forfeited.
Privacy policy
Our website uses a form for customers to request more information and order merchandise or services. We collect visitors' contact information such as names and e-mail addresses. In the event of a purchase additional contact and financial information. Information from these forms are used for shipping orders. With permission your information may be used for special announcements and inventory updates. Users may elect to "opt out" at anytime. In the future our site may use cookies to make sure you don't see the same ad repeatedly or to tailor the site to your specific needs. There is a "no-spam" policy at Metro Hobbies. This means that your information will not be used without your consent and you can rest assured that your information will NEVER be sold to an outside company. Metro Hobbies will not sell, give away or distribute our customer list unless required by law. Any information gathered either by internet or personal contact will be used for general demographic and marketing information.
