Feb 25, 2011 - Alliance Locomotive Products has suffered from a fire in the building next door to them. The fire building was destroyed and smoke inundated ALP. All ALP stock and materials are currently out for cleaning or salvage at this time. Owners expect to be back in operation within 3 months time. The Metro Hobbies Family wishes them all the best of luck in their return to the market.
UPDATE June 21, 2011 - Alliance Locomotive Products is retaking possession of their facilities very soon. They hope to start moving back in July 1, 2011 and hope to be shipping orders by August. We wish them luck and welcome their return.

Metro Hobbies was founded in 1997 by Kenneth Bean.  Ken has over 20 years experience in the model railroad hobby with more than 10 years experience in the DCC arena. Metro Hobbies is expanding to fill the needs of its current and potential customers.  Metro Hobbies specializes in model railroading and DCC sales and installation but, if you need it, ask we may be able to get it.
