extremely accurate details to produce this all-metal signal bridge kit.
Features:- Easy Assembly: Assembles in less than one hour with glue only. This kit is fun to build and painting is a snap.
-
Durability: This is one solid model that can take the all too common
beating while sitting over the mainline. The handrails are etched in
stainless steel for exceptional durability.
- Accuracy: We are confident that if you took a tape measure to the real thing, this model would measure up perfectly!
-
Also Includes: Two, highly detailed and accurate Signal Heads (with
room for the addition of LED's), four Concrete Footings and one
Electrical Box!
Dimensions:- Inside the legs: 4.75"
- Clearance Height: 3.75" (approx.)
Prototype:The
prototype for BLMA's model is based on a common Santa Fe style bridge that
is a close relative to the "A" frame design. Constructed during the
1930-40's, these bridges have been a common site along Santa Fe (now
BNSF) mainlines for well over a half-century.
The prototype photos posted are of two bridges, both located in Santa Fe Springs, California, on the BNSF mainline.
HO/N Scale Cantilever Signal Bridge

Installed Model Photo
The Cantilever Signal Bridge model is based on a common Santa
Fe/Southern Pacific style seen literally all over the USA. Removed in
mid-2006, the prototype was located at the very west end of Fullerton,
California, on the BNSF mainline at a spot called "Basta".
Cantilever
Signal Bridges have been a part of railroading since the early 1900's.
Many early style cantilever bridges are still holding strong in spots
all across the country, but slowly, they are being replaced by modern
counterparts due to increased safety restrictions by the FRA (and
perhaps OSHA) to keep signal maintainers safe while working on these
structures.
Features- All-Metal Kit
- 100% Accurate
- Extremely Fine Detail
- Fun To Build
- Includes Signal Heads (non-operating)
- Includes Electrical box

Prototype InformationSearchlight
Signals have long been an icon of American railroading. For over a
century, Searchlights have governed miles upon miles of rail lines all
over the US. Arguably the most famous signal design - the Union Switch
and Signal H-2 - these signals have served class 1 railroads in all
corners of the country, and continue to operate.
Model InformationWith
the introduction of BLMA's popular modern signal line, they went back to the
drawing boards to produce the finest Searchlight EVER offered in HO
Scale. While other companies use a bi-color LED in an oversized head,
our all new H2 Searchlights feature THREE SEPARATE LED's per head -
yielding true and vibrant Red, Yellow, and Green aspects! Finally, a
TRUE YELLOW! Furthermore, this design simplifies installation.
This
Two Pack of Signal Heads was designed to allow you, the modeler, to install these signals as you please.
Features:- 100% Assembled!
- Two Operating Signal Heads
- 3 LED's per head - True Red/Yellow/Green
- Extremely Fine Detail
- Durable Brass/Plastic Construction
- Fine-Scale Material
- Pre-Painted
- Extremely Accurate
- Popular US&S H2 Signals w/Large Box
Take
a closer look at these signals and you'll notice even more detail...
On the back of the head you'll notice scale writing that says
"US&S Co", "Swissvale PA", accurate dimensions, rivet detail, scale
thickness 'hoods', and much, much more.
We invite you to try the finest HO Scale model railroad signals ever produced.

The prototype for this
specific signal is located on the Union Pacific's LA&SL Route that
travels between Los Angeles and Salt Lake City, among other points.
This signal is in use today at the East end of Afton Canyon at a
location known as Basin, where it governs entrance into a siding and
the block ahead.

Installation Instructions
The new Searchlight Signals comes completely assembled and ready-to-use
right out of the packaging. The installation of this product will take
two easy steps:
1. Mount on Layout:Simply find the perfect spot for this product on your layout and mount in place.
2. Connect Signal Circuitry:This
signal has a total of 6 micro-LED's pre-installed in the two
separate signal heads. The mast internally houses eight wires - four
wires per head (one common and three for each separate, micro-LED: red,
yellow and green). Like all BLMA Models signals, this product is wired
in the common anode configuration (common positive).
With such a
wide variety of signaling circuits on the market, BLMA has left the
signal circuitry up to the modeler. All eight wires will connect to
the circuit of your choice to operate the micro-LED's (each of which
takes no more than 2.0-2.2 Volts; 25 to 30 Mili-Amps).
* Atlas Signal System users note! After a great deal of
research, it was determined that the new Atlas signal circuits are
wired for a common cathode configuration. Seeing as almost all other
circuits and signals on the market are wired for common anode, BLMA chose
to go with the industry norm (common anode). That being said, it looks
as though the Atlas circuits will not work with BLMA products (or any
other common anode signal product). BLMA is working hard to find a
solution to this.

HO Scale Modern Cantilever Signal Bridge (Assembled & Lighted!)
Catalog: 4030 Scale: HO MSRP: $89.95
Prototype Information:"Out with the old and in with the
new!" This statement is perfect when describing signal bridges on
class one railroads. At this point, older signal bridges are literally
going out of style as they are torn down for modern, tube style
bridges.
Unlike early bridges, today's giant, aluminum and
steel structures are constructed of common parts, and thus, their
appearance is nearly identical at any corner of the country. Combining
ease of assembly, utilization of common parts, and extremely easy
accessibility for signal maintainers, all four of the current major
railroads (BNSF, UP, NS, & CSX) as well as many smaller railroads
have adopted this double-track, modern cantilever bridge as the
standard for their mainlines.
Model Information:This model is the only modern signal bridge produced in HO Scale, period. Featuring four operating signal heads
(a total of 12 separate, micro LED's!), super-fine detail, etched-metal components and 100% scale fidelity, this model is an asset to any modern HO Scale railroad!
Features: - 100% Assembled!
-
Four Operating Signal Heads!- Extremely Fine Detail
- Durable Plastic Construction
- Etched-Metal Handrails & Walkways!
- Extremely Accurate!
Installation InstructionsThe Modern Cantilever Signal Bridge comes completely assembled and
ready-to-use right out of the packaging. The installation of this
product will take two easy steps:
1. Mount on Layout:Simply
find the perfect spot for this double-track bridge on your layout and
mount in place. The PDF link above provides an easy to use, "print and
paste" drill template.
2. Connect Signal Circuitry:This
signal bridge has a total of 12 (#0603 SMT) micro-LED's pre-installed
in the four separate signal heads. Each leg of the bridge internally
houses four wires (one common and three for each separate, micro-LED:
red, yellow and green). This bridge is wired in the common anode
configuration (common positive).
With such a wide variety of
signaling circuits on the market, BLMA has left the signal circuitry up
to the modeler. All 16 wires will connect to the circuit of your
choice to operate the micro-LED's (each of which takes no more than
2.0-2.2 Volts; 25 to 30 Mili-Amps).
