5410 operating wigwags and 5420 signal detectors may require substitute parts

June 2008:

Two incorrect components were supplied in some of the signal detector kits in product numbers 5410 and 5420.  These parts will cause all finished detectors to not work under certain conditions.  The incorrect parts are two tan resistors with yellow, purple, and 2 gold color bands.  If you have one or two of these in your unassembled kit, let Them know by emailing Them with your address through the American Limited Contact Us Page page or at bob@americanlimitedmodels.com  They will send you the correct parts.

If you have completed your signal detector board, whether it is working or not, please check it to see if R2 and/or R3 are as described above.  It is important to check these because even if it is working it will eventually fail.  If the parts must be replaced, send them your circuit board freight collect and they will replace the parts, test your board, then ship it back to you.  The address to ship is 2519 Bishop Ave, Fremont, CA 94536.  And feel free to contact them as noted above.

They are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.  They are working to correct all kits in stock at dealers and all new kits shipped by them will have this problem corrected.
